Until now, the slightest repair to a Blaxtair meant a particularly hefty bill for Japanese customers. Not because of intervention fees, these were well under control, but mainly due to high transportation cost and also complex paperwork.

The October opening of the first Blaxtair repair center in Asia (in Fukui on Japan’s west coast) therefore offers a solution to legitimate expectations of distributor Eureka’s Japanese customers. The distributors electronics experts came to Normandy to be trained in the company’s techniques before any of the special tooling (test beds, calibration or optical benches, etc.) was transferred.

Strong roots in Asia

For BLAXTAIR, this new center is the emblem of its successful presence in the Land of the Rising Sun. Since the company began marketing operations in Japan in April 2015, more than 160 Blaxtair® have been installed and certain manufacturers are even beginning to connect the camera in series. Prospects also look very promising in the rest of the region with installations in Australia, Hong Kong and Korea.
